H425 and H425HD – for large trees
The robust H425 and H425HD cutting heads are designed for large trees and large base machines. John Deere’s cutting heads are equipped with the new SuperCut 100S saw unit, which features a reliable chain tensioning system that makes chain replacement easier and allows the use of wide-tipped saw bars.
H425 cutting head is designed for larger base machines 1270G and 1470G. It is ideal for felling operations where the tree diameter at breast height is on average 250–500 mm. The routing of hoses from the boom to the cutting head and from the distributor to the feed motors is carefully thought out. The motor hoses are routed through the frame to be well protected within the structure, increasing the durability and reliability of the cutting head. The PEVO distributor improves economy, controllability, and adjustment options.
A wide range of saw motors and saw bars are available for the H425 cutting heads.
H425HD cutting head features a durable HD tilt frame, feed motor guards, and expander pins on the upper tilt cylinder, feed motor shoulders, and lower delimbing knives. The H425HD is a robust cutting head with excellent performance and measurement accuracy. Maintenance is quick thanks to easy access to the distributor and lubrication points, and adding saw chain oil is also simple. The saw chain stays in place and is easy to replace.
